It is about the people on the roadside – the fans who travel hundreds of kilometres, wait for hours in the rain or the heat, and give everything for a few seconds of racing.

Barcelona 2026 is a special moment for me – not just for cycling, but for this project. The Tour de France Grand Départ coming to my hometown is something I have been waiting for. The city I live in, the streets I know, the people I see every day – all of them will become part of the race for the first time. Full circle moment, as this project started in 2005 when I moved here. For a photographer who has followed the Tour for more than 20 years, this is both a professional and a deeply personal moment. I will be there, on the roadside, with my film camera.
